Batista has done decently. But Rock’s natural charisma is just off the charts even for WWE standards.
Holy crap, if you are recently in a Sorkin mood, I give it nine thumbs up
You can’t even put CM Punk’s name into the post? Comeon man
And Cena is starting to come into his own. Hes really following in Dwayne’s footsteps of Schlocky action movie into shitty kids movies into (likely next) big budget action and comedy movies.
Bautista has had some really good roles lately. Obvious MCU makes $$, an excellent what we do in the shadows cameo, blade runner 2049, Dune.
Blockers was pretty disappointing.
Excuse me
This storyline alone made it a great movie.
(But in all srs just curious)
I put it on the list with other great teen comedies that aren’t crude nonsense actually made for adult children.
Blockers
Booksmart
Good Boys
Mid90s
Lady Bird
The Edge of Seventeen
Easy A
Clueless
13 Going on 30 (slightly cheating)
Superbad
Mean Girls
The Spectacular Now
Sierra Burgess is a Loser
Dumplin’
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
Love, Simon
Which is not to say those movies aren’t occasionally or often raunchy, but I don’t consider any of these as crude as anything in the American Pie series, or as offensive as classics like Porkies and Revenge of the Nerds.
I have no clue WTF a CM Punk is, but he did a good job in his debut movie and plus a macho MMA star as a heel in a horror movie with very feminist vibes is interesting to me.I hope he makes more movies.
In hindsight, idk why John Cena never really made it the movie business? The Rock is headlining major action flicks and John Cena is doing bit parts. Actually, I wonder why the classic WWF guys from the 80’s never broke into acting. Can you imagine the Macho Man as an 80’s action star, young boys would have gone wild for that shit.
Cena has been in some pretty big hits. Bumblebee, Trainwreck, Ferdinand. He pulls in bucks. Hes going to keep getting work as long as he wants it
Well, she is a brother fucker.
It took The Rock 10-15 years of appearing in movies to be a star, and he needed a franchise like the fast and the furious to really elevate him. Cena just needs some random action vehicle like Statham and every other action star of the last 50 years.
Good. With all the made about them being the Mudocks and people I follow on Twitter talking about how the shows the Mudocks getting what’s coming to them I thought I was the only one who didn’t see much of a connection
I watched the first episode of this last night, really like it. Its got style.
The Houses October Built
A group of friends travels across the country in search of the scariest haunted house.
Boring and not scary.
I loved the West Wing special which isn’t a surprise of course. Sure it’s romantic and fantasy but it is how politics should be more often. Just a little more often.
The people who mock it really miss the point. It’s like saying Fast and the Furious is terrible because your daughter can’t learn to drive watching it.
But the whole problem is that eDems are acting like they did learn how to do politics by watching WW.
That’s a problem of theirs, not the WW.
The Chicago 7 really was peak Sorkin, right down to reusing the French egg joke from the WW. The JGL character also seemed so Sorkiny that I think I would have known he wrote it even if I didn’t know he wrote it. Oh, and speaking of Succession, I loved Jeremy Strong bringing the hippie energy.
