Season 1 was the best, but 2 & 3 were still damn good fun, and the closing credits of the final episode are the funniest thing they did, so do not miss that.

S1 of The Boys was outstanding. Iāve seen it twice now and just watched these preview clips for s2 coming in September.
As youāll see, they already had a legendary cast, including Karl Urban (McCoy/Bones from the Star Trek film reboots, Judge Dredd), but now they have Aya Cash (Youāre the Worst), Giancarlo Esposito (Gus from Breaking Bad/BCS), and Patton fuckin Oswalt. LIT.

My dad has every old Perry Mason episode on VHS. I told him about the new show and he already knew about it, but has no plans to watch because itās just Perry Mason in name only. He has no doubt that it could be good, but heās not rushing to see it because of the name.

This is annoying to me, but not as annoying as if they remade Quincy and he wasnāt a Medical Examiner. Iād be fucking furious about that.
And then the reverse is true too, people are going to be put off of it because they donāt want to watch a the show their grandfather used to watch about the old timey lawyer guy who got people to confess on the stand. Whatās next, HBO makes an Andy Griffith Show reboot about a hard nosed vice cop in 1980s New York City?
The stuff Iāve read about the show describe it as an original story portraying Perry Mason before he became a lawyer.

Just saw the trailer. Hype. This looks awesome.
Episode is still going but typing my thoughts about the series as they enter my heavily buzzed brain (parents picked up the daughter today so Iām playing hooky and watching TV and enjoying a silent house for an afternoon).
- Love the return of Andre 3000
- Julienās character never really panned out. Could have been something interesting involving the conversion therapy he went through, but they just dropped it. Hey, I guess that therapy works! (joking obviously and Iāll remove it if anyone is offended, that type of therapy is disgusting)
- I couldnāt remember Julienās name when typing up that last point, so I googled him and the the actor Michael Jace is in prison for the murder of his wife. Crazy.
- this scene with Shane at the payphone talking to Vic is some pretty good acting. I havenāt been too impressed with Walton Goggins acting ability but that was solid.
- him immediately turning into a druggie after one night being forced to do some blow is pretty lame writing
- this storyline with Butch and the serial killer kid is just dumb/weird. I get that they have to give him something do while the real story is going on, but cāmon. If he ends up going down for the murder of the serial killer kidās mom, I will unfortunately have to call this a terrible show.
- i do like the character development of Ronnie. I actually thought he was gonna get killed as kind of a throwaway character in like S2 or 3, but heās developed into a pretty good bad guy.
- still disappointed Glenn Close only had one season
- David Aceveda - i dunno what i think. sometimes i thought his storyline was decent, sometimes it sucked.
- Shane saying hi to his neighbor like it was no big deal and going into his house with a few little gifts even though he knows he intentionally gave the jig is up was pretty cool. he still sucks balls, tho

- being reduced to nothing and never seeing your kids again is a big punishment for vic, but like a said a few points up, itās not enough. he didnāt win, but he didnāt entirely lose either
- while nothing is happening her for a sec, the season(s?) with Forrest Whitaker were pretty decent, as was his character. I knew Glenn Close was on the show, but I didnāt know he was so it was cool when he popped on the screen
- i hope in between the final credits as part of the outro they show Ronnie getting shanked
