The Television Streaming Thread: Now With Felonies

Quite recently. Yeah man, huge loss :(

Wow, he provided the voice of JYD in the Hulk Hogan cartoon

I remember a whole summer Nick at Nite played nothing but Fresh Prince.

I miss those days.

speaking of dead people and Nick at Nite, I learned a couple weekends ago that one of Fred Willard’s first TV roles was on an episode of Get Smart. Come to think of it, Nick at Nite is also where I first saw Fernwood 2 Night.

Arguably, not even the most famous guy in the voice cast for that cartoon.

Still plugging away on Disney+ and this time I saw Captain America. It was a fast, fun ride pretty much from the start and it seemed like they just decided to do a straightforward action/adventure movie. Though maybe they’ve been trying to do that all along? Anyway, it had everything you could need, fighting, explosions, characters you cared about to the extent you needed to, humour, stakes, sadness etc. But my favourite might have been all the really good character actors delivering stupid lines in silly accents. Stanley Tucci and Hugo Weaving were great, but fullest marks went to Toby Jones earnestly telling us, “but the sanity of the plan is of no consequence, because he can do it!” In his best Nazi and with way more exclamation marks than that. I love Toby Jones. Anyway, this was easily the best one so far.

Fresh Prince is way too real for me

You know this program was made for soft little white kids because if they put this on BET there’s no laugh track.

Beef? Good. Jelly? Good.

Oh god, it tastes like feet!

Man Fresh Prince is one of my favorite shows ever, I’ve probably seen each episode a few times and there were countless nights where me and my friends would just get high throughout my 20’s and stay up till like 3-4am watching

Sucks that I refuse to buy ESPN+

If the history of tv and movies have told us much it’s that people like brainless crap.

And Nazis

No I think you’re right. In the 1990s there was an attempt at more serious programming.

Episode 2 of Epstein knocked out. Taking it one at a time. It’s heavy. Of course noted figures appear, eg Trump, Acosta, Giselle, the Dersh. Just got through where he narrowly escaped lifelong imprisonment the first time and people are lit with rage.

Anyone try Space Force?

Going to try to watch hereditary. 50/50 I make it through without turning it off as a scardy cat. Lol
