A couple years ago, I was the guy arguing vote for the best of the worst, norms and structures matter, and dems have to play within the rules to keep them in tact. Hell I was arguing Biden was going to do the things he said months into his presidency.

Itās clear at this point the very fabric of American democracy is cancerous. It must be cut out at the core.
The Democratic Party is simply not up to the task. They care far more about maintaining the status quo because they are completely captured by octogenarian boomers who think to their core itās still 1965. They are doubly worthless because not only do they not understand the basic rules of the game their playing they are really really bad at playing any of the ones they do engage in.
If this Roe vs Wade thing isnāt the final nail in coffin for the view you hold (and the one I held only a few years ago) I donāt know what would do it.
The dems have claimed that choice is the foundational policy of their entire world view yet when it was clear a year ago it was going to die they did nothing. When SCOTUS took Mississippi Health vs Jackson Health, announcing their intent overturn Roe, dems did nothing. Now we have decision leaked overturning Roe and dems do nothing. Literally nothing. Where are they? A couple press releases as their ācornerstone policyā falls.
These people do not deserve your respect. They have not earned it.
At some point you have to stop blaming the wolf for being a wolf and blame the hunter for failing to kill him.
When there is no political party left to support the only action left is direct action.

Denying a hearing to a qualified Supreme Court nominee was legal, but it wasnāt normal. Refusing to convict an impeached President for causing an insurrection was legal. And these protests are legal. Fuck it. If Republicans want norms, they should conform with norms.

Whenever anyone tries organising of any kind the EDems first try to co-opt and neuter it and if that fails they turn into terminators in their cold ruthless efficiency to destroy it.
