The Supreme Court, Part 2: When the president does it that means that it is not illegal

Trump is specifically calling for military tribunals:

I feel like we lack imagination about how to do fascism while the Project 2025 assholes have been working out the details of their plan for years if not decades.

“In this case, the Attorney General purported to appoint a private citizen as Special Counsel to prosecute a former President on behalf of the United States. But, I am not sure that any office for the Special Counsel has been ‘established by law,’ as the Constitution requires”

Whitehouse is the only dem who pays any attention to SCOTUS. This will go nowhere.

Is this for real? But why the need for a special counsel? I thought presidents can do anything now

I don’t understand why they need Merrick Garland. I thought the president can just order an IRS audit now?

What is there to fucking investigate? He took bribes in broad daylight, lied about them, and said “fuck off” when he was caught red-handed. What good will an investigation do? they aren’t going to lock him up, they aren’t going to impeach him, what’s the point?

You gotta want it.

What does that have to do with investigating a SCOTUS justice?

Because the president has a shiny new toy called immunity. He can just order investigations into anyone now. Heck, he can have seal team 6 pay Thomas a little visit if he wants

Maybe they should have thought about doing that before the court destroyed the executive agencie’s abilities to do anything, overturned Roe v Wade, and gave the president absolute power sans consequences.

I dunno, maybe?

Just now hearing about this. I mean had he been successful it would have only hurt his cause.

Edit: Appears to be a random carjacking. Poor guy runs like me when playing poker lately.

It is not running bad to have someone shoot you in the mouth in Merica when you try to steal their car.
