This has been one of the most exciting tournaments I’ve ever seen, which granted isn’t that many, but still I love the drama of this rising star challenging the GOAT. And my main man Kotoshogiku has a winning tourney despite being way too old and busted for this shit.

Gonna need Sumo to English translation on this one? Why is that so bad? Is it just because it’s considered a bitch move? How did it ever attain that status anyway? Seems like a perfectly legit strategy.
It’s a 100% legal move. It’s considered a bit underhanded, but it’s part of the game. I just don’t know know why you’d do it against a dude who’s 0-12 and there’s nothing on the line unless you really just like kicking a guy when he’s down.
Sometimes it backfires:
Don’t remember the match and yeah it’s not a classy thing to do, but he himself was in terrible form, having a dreadful basho, and was on the brink of demotion to Juryo so it’s somewhat understandable.
