To the extent noncompetes ever made sense, they are now a function of the age of cut and paste adhesion contracts, where they are used way too often. They can and should die in a fire, and wages will rise.

Can we prosecute both Trump and Biden now? Sounds like a good deal to set a precedent of going after presidents when they commit crimes.

If you forget to lock your desk and security people find classified documents in your file drawer, you get a slap on the wrist. You accidentally take something off-site, you probably lose your clearance, maybe get fired. If you’re stealing documents, you’re going to jail. Jail is where Trump should go.
In before Garland issues a Biden indictment tomorrow in a mad scramble to show fairness and impartiality, while the special counsel futzes around until like five years after Trump’s dead before declaring “oh yeah if it still mattered I guess we would have brought charges.”
