Yes, but I don’t think that’s the issue.
I think that part of liking it is the nostalgia of growing up with it and the memories you associate with it. If you take that away, it’s just mostly noise. It’s not exactly Beethoven level stuff for the most part.

I ran out of Dateline podcast episodes today so I clicked around to find something new. Ended up listening to the Smartless episode that had Biden on a couple weeks ago. Haven’t finished it yet but was pretty stunned with how good Biden sounded. He sounds sharp, quick witted, and actually articulates points we’d all agree with here. Not sure why he comes across so drastically worse in every TV appearance. Maybe it’s seeing him that always makes him sound like sleepy Joe, or he’s just better at conversational discourse as opposed to giving speeches or debating? Pretty stark difference, whatever the reason.

Also file under lol democrats. I can’t imagine how anything like this passes the house except with a lot of R votes, that is, if the progressive caucus stands for anything at all. And I have no reason to think these particular Rs would want to “help” Biden.

Guys, this is pretty simple. The entire industry is a scam. Fake money is not money. Crooks predictably flocked to a once in a lifetime doing the fraud opportunity. The Presidency is useless. Every supposed innovation of centrist Dem ideology is “fund raising 101.” I get it, you don’t like capitalism. Which changes none of the above.

My first management job involved supervising a small group of specialists at a telco. They did very different work from most of the team and took pride in that work.
They were however also part of the union.
There was a potential strike coming up, and I called a meeting to talk about how we could find ways to avoid disrupting our clients during the strike.
One of the old guys had to politely pull me aside and very apologetically tell me that disrupting the business was the whole point of going on strike.
