I can’t see republicans acknowledging any of this got even a second.
Like mosdef said, they may negotiate it to shreds and then 100% vote against it but that’s as far as it goes.
These games played by these tweener senators are debilitating. They know it’s not happening.
No one answered my previous questions. Does reauthorizing the VRA do anything for laws already on the books? Thought it just stopped new bad laws.
I have a dream that this is Manchins play to get around his no filibuster busting pledge.

If I was Mitch I’d let 6-8 moderate members get to yes on this but drip out the yeses over the next 3-4 months.
