Not surprising. He cares a ton about the deficit. I donāt think thereās anything you could offer him to change his mind on the filibuster, but if there were, itād be a plan to cut the deficit and run a surplus without cutting military spending or entitlements.

Iām gonna have to disagree that he actually cares about the deficit. The War budget is damn near $1T/year and it all goes on the credit card so to speak. The people that vote for that only pretend to care about the deficit. What they actually care about is who gets to reap the rewards of deficit spending.
