Did I miss dems losing a seat? Did Manchin flip? Harris is tiebreaking vote?
Nobody’s flipped. Its been 50/50 since the Georgia Senate runoffs.

My precinct was worse, 50-48. What is truly horrifying is that Clinton beat Trump in my precinct 52-44.
Can you pass a law to kill gerrymandering? Like a law requiring redistricting represent an equal number of votes in each state? Supreme court would almost certainly nuke that right?
Might give us a reason to pack the supreme court if we get super lucky and win 2-3 senate seats in 2022.
So Rs are refusing to take out their own trash and making Ds do it. Then it’s going to be a largely party line vote, Rs will make Greene a martyr and then promise to do the same thing and worse to The Squad if they retake power.
Awesome, fun times ahead! Ds can just never lose another election again on a terrain that heavily favors Rs… that should be sustainable.

I mean, if your options are "do the right thing and have your opponent do all the horrible things if given the chance: or “do the wrong thing and have your opponent do all the horrible things if given the chance,” you have to choose the former.
The idea that Democrats can stop the insanity by being nice is itself insane.

Agree Ds are doing the right thing, just noting how horrible Rs are. The only non-WAAF option was for Rs to take out their own trash.
Part of the benefit of the Dems forcing the vote is that it theoretically fractures the GOP caucus by putting everyone on the record.
It’s not gonna be fractured. Will get no more than the 10 votes we had for Trump’s impeachment on this and those that vote Yes will be pariahed.
Marching orders will be, “I don’t agree with Greene on everything but this is stuff she did before becoming a Congresswoman, how far back do we go, did YOU do anything shameful during your college days???, whatabout Ralph Northam blackface, etc. meowchow. LIBERAL WITCH-HUNT!”
