George W is on late night shows with his book, no one suffered any sort of prosecution or real public shame after the Iraq War…I don’t have high hopes for this

Not to the same degree. My understanding is the donors usually get to be ambassador to New Zealand or whatever tiny country that plays no major role in FP. This guy was ambassador to the EU and involved in a shadow FP in Ukraine for no reason.

1 million people being killed is much less illegal than asking for an investigation on Biden.

Lol’d. I am sure this joke will get old at some point but I’m not over it yet

in other words, pompeo and sessions win senate races in 2020.

Eat the rich.

It’s a great joke but it is not real, don’t spread disinformation.

Not all on Bush, obviously, but we can stop selling it short. A new report on people killed in the War on Terror was just released. It counts 770,000 - 801,000 people killed directly as a result of the fighting.

It doesn’t address indirect deaths, but the same researchers have written about that before. This is from a paper about deaths in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Research on recent wars from the 1990s to the present, have yielded an extremely crude rule of thumb: “between three and 15 times as many people die indirectly for every person who dies violently.”

and

The Geneva Declaration Secretariat, which closely examined data from armed conflicts occurring in the period of 2004-2007, suggests that,“a reasonable average estimate would be a ratio of four indirect deaths to one direct death in contemporary conflicts.”

So, let’s give them the average, the US War on Terror has killed just over 3 million people.

Full reports linked below, also has the costs to the US taxpayer: 5.4 trillion spent, further 1 trillion already committed even if a complete withdrawal tomorrow, and about 8 trillion in interest to come given it’s all deficit spending. Context - total US budget this year is 4.4 trillion.

E2A - Oh, and let’s not forget the 21 million people displaced as a result of war.
