The Presidency of Donald J. Trump v5.0: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes PEANUT BUTTER & BANANAS

There aren’t many vulnerable Republican senators up for reelection in 2020. There are probably other reasons but that has to be one factor.

Yea like Rubio is safe til 2022. He don’t GAF about losing his seat.

When he doesn’t specify, I’m unsure if this goes out even to the haters and the losers.

This meeting will end with Trump standing and slapping the table whilst pronouncing, “I don’t want it near schools! I don’t want it sold to children! That’s an infamia! In my country we would keep the vaping in the dark people, the coloreds. They’re animals anyway so let them lose their souls!”

Isn’t King an openly racist, especially disgraceful deplorable?

There is only one thing to do to Schumer. Hopefully AOC is old enough.

Seeing lots of people crowing about Junior getting booed at his book signing and I don’t think they realize that people were booing because they don’t think he/this government are extreme enough.

Surely there are more Republican Senators that would be hurt by voting to convict Trump. There’s one Republican Senator in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and Maine, sure voting for acquitting Trump could hurt in those states. One in Ohio and one in WV, and two in Florida, less likely there. The Democrat in WV is more likely to vote for acquittal than the Republican is to convict. Every other state went pretty solidly for Trump in 2016, Georgia and NC being closest. So it’s just fantasy to think that more than a handful of Republican senators could even conceivably be hurt politically voting for acquittal. And even for the senator in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, they would expose themselves to a primary threat backed by a spiteful Trump campaigning against them if they voted for conviction.

edit: holy shit, just looked up the election results in 2016. Donald Trump had the MOST support in WV? Did not realize that. Wow. 68.5% of the vote. Yeah, that Democrat is voting to acquit.

This is some incredible West Wing fan fiction if you think the political calculation being made here has anything to do with morality or what’s good for the country.

Every GOPer approaches these issues by narrowly considering how they will impact their lives and re-electability. Will the media be mean to me? Will Trump tweet about me? Will people yell at me in public? Will my constituents turn on me? Will this impact my bigger political aspirations? These are the things being considered and they have zero to do with what’s good for the country or what the right thing to do is.

This Vindman guy being fired matters to absolutely nobody, and if anyone asks then he’s a Deep State Spy, his lawyer worked with a Clinton once, and firing people is good anyway! That’s why we elected Trump!!!
