So basically if you’re a major drug trafficker and you get busted you can rat on everyone to get your sentence reduced, you just have to help them with damage control… because everyone rats.
That’s why criminal organizations are now cellular instead of hierarchical. They also put a ton of thought into who knows what about whom. They spend a lot less time worrying about who is the boss and a lot more time thinking about what the absolute minimum someone needs to know to fulfill their function. Everything is built around bust risk basically.
