california wouldn’t have all these bad fires if they just cut down the entire forest like I tell them to. Check mate libtards.
I don’t think that’s what happened, either. That’s an essential component of my joke
I don’t mind breaking down why it’s funny for me. The humor comes from the absurdity on two levels.
- that someone would deliberately cause mass confusion
- suggesting that bigtk was doing just that when we’re all pretty sure this was a genuine misunderstanding
Which to me is under the umbrella of laughing when seeing how often things are outside of our control. Good and bad things don’t always happen because somebody wanted them to.
Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
Next time on Good One: a podcast about jokes…
Edit: There’s a third level where I’m laughing because some people really do pretend to be serious in the middle of a joke. That’s a pretty good joke, too.
If everyone would just adopt Trump Tower standards, we’d all be much safer–
STOP RESPONDING IN GOOD FAITH JFC
I think Lewis is more just an edgy gimmick who says ridiculous stuff to get views. I mean even his comments post fight were a backhanded compliment about how much he’s been sucking and that he needs to get his shit together from what I remember.
Sounds like Masvidal is legit a fan which is a bummer because I love him as a fighter.
but yeah UFC is a big pro trump sport. lot of dumb rednecks make up their casual viewers. Also Trump used to host their super early fights when most other venues wouldn’t so they probably think they owe him.
I’d venture to say most fighters don’t actually like Trump though, but don’t say anything because Dana is a petty douchecanoe and well known for ruining careers for dumb stuff, like I’m sure he would if you weren’t a big draw and came out talking trash about Trump. I mean Dana talked at the RNC convention for Trump.
Just received a bullshit push poll call from the NRCC.
"Do you agree that the socialist Democrats are going against the will of the voters by pushing their partisan impeachment?
Desperation is pathetic.
You’ll have a hard time being heard over the helicopter.
If Trump ever testifies as POTUS is will be on the South lawn with a helicopter running.
Yea, Virginia wants a strong border alright… with D.C. to keep out the treasonous criminals you’ve brought to town.
This line is triggering me so much right now. My boss is Trumpy in a lot of ways and lit into me this weekend for not responding to his text messages fast enough. I actually responded as soon as they came in but my phone gets in a mood sometimes where it stops pushing texts unless I’m actively using it and he knows this because we’ve talked about it before. A reasonable person would try calling if texts aren’t getting a response but instead this guy insists texts should be fine because the other employees respond to texts. I think he legit believes that if a problem is localized to one person it’s fair to say that person is responsible for the problem. It completely ignores underlying factors and relies on flawed logic but it’s a satisfying conclusion to reach if you don’t want to spend any time thinking about pesky details. It’s exactly how Trump views the problem in California. I don’t think he’s just throwing shade on California for politics, he actually hasn’t spent any time thinking about why land in one part of the country could be more prone to wildfires as land thousands of miles away with a different climate and weather patterns. It’s not an ideal thought process for the leader of a country.
You really should be looking for a new boss ASAP it sounds like.
And getting his phone fixed tbh.
First of all, boundaries… if you aren’t getting compensated for oncall or weekend work, then your boss should understand that responding to anything in off-hours is Best Effort priority. You’d have to be pretty high up in the company for 24/7 availability to be automatically assumed for a salary, imo.
But if your pay does include that expectation, your boss is correct and you should be doing whatever necessary to fix your phone or service. If you are a independent contractor you can argue that the company is responsible for some portion of the costs.
