The Environmental Protection Agency on Monday plans to relax rules that govern how power plants store waste from burning coal and release water containing toxic metals into nearby waterways, according to agency officials.
The proposals, which scale back two rules adopted in 2015, affect the disposal of fine powder and sludge known as “coal ash” as well as contaminated water that power plants produce while burning coal. Both forms of waste can contain mercury, arsenic and other heavy metals that pose risks to human health and the environment.

My dad grew up Jewish and he had a visceral dislike of Poles, Ukrainians, and people from Latvia because of their treatment of Jews before and during WW2. The racism around my household growing up wasn’t against black people… it was against Eastern Europeans lol.

He should be careful here, he’s running out of room to artificially inflate his Republican approval rating. Pretty soon, he’s going to be tweeting that his Republican approval rating is 104%, and everyone will know he’s full of shit.
Just kidding, his supporters probably aren’t so great at math.
By the way, does anyone know how close you can get to the White House South Lawn where the media shouts questions out at Trump when he goes to and from the helicopter? I’d love to get a group together and go boo while that happens if we can get close enough for the sound to carry there. It would be amazing to see him getting booed at the White House, and I’m thinking that’s the best way to make it happen… Just not sure we could get close enough. I’m also sure there’s no sight line from the streets, so it would be impossible to know for sure when he’s out there unless there were some other clues (like the helicopter starting up or something).
It should be fairly easy to get a few hundred people together for that, though, I would think… and the video clips on the news would be hilarious.
I’ve only been to the white house once but if memory serves the sidewalk where protestors hang out is not very close to anywhere trump would ever be. It’s on the south lawn that the helicopter lands I think.
What would happen if you threw your beer at him at the UFC event? Do they not allow people to have beers in those sections, do they clear out the 20 seats in any direction of the president?
