I had seen an interview with Chris Evans a few(?) months ago when they were in the planning stages for this website. Based upon how he described his vision for it, I had concerns about its efficacy. Now that I have visited the site and watched a dozen of the videos(theyâre mostly 1-2 min clips) related to climate change, my concerns have been confirmed.
If their goal is to educate their audience on what partisan talking points sound like, bravo. If itâs to actually educate and inform citizens they have for the most part failed.
The issues they highlight are not addressed by experts, instead they ask politicians.
Example: we asked these politicians what they thought were topics related to climate change that are overlooked or not given enough attention.
Responses:
Some Republican: not enough attention paid to all things not related to human activity that impacts climate change.
Some other Republican: not enough attention paid to deforestation taking place in other countries. (Please look over there, pay no attention to anything that I have power over as your elected representative)
