The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: Unconstitutional Slop

As I said! The troublemakers reveal themselves within 4 mins

I wonder what going 1 year without the payroll tax, or even a few months, does to the long term viability of Social Security? This piece of shit could destroy it for millennials in a few months, I bet. Itā€™s already on thin ice for us and most of us donā€™t expect to actually collect much/anything from it.

These things are happening right now under Trump.

ā€œIf you donā€™t like these things happening under Trump, then you must vote Trump!!!ā€

I mean wtf

Things are bad now, but imagine if Biden was in charge. Theyā€™d be even worse! Trump 2020

You should be honest and reply that protests will be much smaller when police kill unarmed Black people when Biden is President because a lot of liberals will bury their heads in the sand.

Since I was 18, S.S. was expected to be broke roughly 2 years before I turn 65. Youā€™re now thinking about what Gen X has been living for 30 years, paying lots of money into something that seems at least somewhat unlikely to be collected. Iā€™d imagine a change like youā€™re describing would decimate S.S. for Gen X and then everyone below Gen X would be similarly affected but with much more time to try to make up for any shortfalls.

Yep, just got my email notification of same today.

Almost seems like some money should be put into improving elections.

Hey dips***, how many people voted in 2016?

Me too.

Disagree, some things are better, itā€™s the voter suppression and whatever Barrtober has in store for us.

Yeah, but another way to spin this this time is that Bernie could not have beaten anyone in the field head to head. I think the Bernie supporters, myself included, failed to recognize how much of his support in 2016 was more anti-Hillary than pro-Bernie. As a result, he needed this race to stay multiway. If I could jump in a time machine and be the head coach of Team Progressive, Iā€™d have Bernie drop out and endorse Warren pretty early on, and Iā€™d forbid Warren from moving to the center on healthcare.

Anyway, the point is yeah they screwed him, but in doing so they screwed maybe 30% of the voters to benefit 70% of the voters.

Heā€™s not doing much campaigning in person anywhere due to COVID-19. They seem pretty focused on PA/MI/WI, though. My concern is that theyā€™re blowing off Arizona somewhat. I would assume he has more Obama veterans than Hillary veterans running his campaign, but Iā€™m not sure.

Nah, literally nobody in the party was excited about Tim Kaine as VP. Like Iā€™m not even sure Mrs. Kaine was excited about Tim Kaine as VP. Two of our three core constituencies (female voters, minority voters, young voters) are pretty excited about Kamala. Plus she is way more charismatic and engaging than Tim Kaine, and my guess is about 10 times as many Americans had heard of her before she was picked than Kaine. Iā€™m guessing his name recognition nationally was around 5%, Harris was over 50%.

Yeah this was frustrating.

You may be wrong about that, but some definitely wonā€™t ever. My Dad will be, but he was already so convinced he didnā€™t watch the convention.

With cocaine on top.

Iā€™m not sure insane even summarizes it anymore.

But this time weā€™ve got a recession and a pandemic.

This is the terrifying part to me. When youā€™re laying in bed at night and you canā€™t sleep, be worried about this, not Kamala.

This is the most infuriating part.

Yeah I canā€™t help you there. I can help you worry about the stuff that I think is a bigger concern, but my level of concern is deeply shook.

Yup, I think thereā€™s about a 98% chance Biden wins the electoral college among ballots cast. Among ballots counted, I think Trump is maybe 55/45 or 60/40.

There will also be more voter suppression, investigations into Biden and probably Kamala, probably investigations into made up voter fraud with mail-in ballots, etc.

Not to deep thinkers like us, but it will to a lot of people.

Iā€™m guessing 75% of Americans are too obtuse or ignorant to recognize the threat of full blown fascism that is upon us.

I think a huge percentage of American donā€™t realize this, either.

So far Iā€™ve been pleasantly surprised that they havenā€™t just hammered the Law and Order messaging as the one and only issue they campaign on. If they ran on beating the shit out of protesters and cracking skulls until the mobs of rioters go away, I think theyā€™d win.

Serious question. Did you listen to Bidenā€™s speech last week? He definitely included some messages of hope.
