So i went for a walk today down the sidewalk that stretches about a quarter mile along the beach in front of houses/porches (beach on one side, tightly packed houses/small apt bldgs on the other) in Seal Beach, where I live. A bottom unit apt with a porch facing the sand in the bldg at the end of the sidewalk, which terminates in a public parking lot, has two new flags up.
First is a large flag (4x6?) with āTrump 2020: No More Bullshitā emblazoned on it. Second is a medium size Trump flag with a big flaming āQā emblazoned on it. I was pretty stunned by the sight, about 15 units down from me. I have noticed these people before, often porch drinking with assorted overly tanned 30-40ish bearded bros. They may work on the nearby offshore oil derrick.
Anyway, kinda wondering what my play is. Iāll post a pic, probably tomorrow, to better depict. Iām not inclined to do anything harsh, as these are just idiots flaying flags designating them as such, and the local police station is literally 75 yards away. But Iām wondering if I should do anything other than give the stink eye when I pass by? Should I fly a Biden flag, an anti-Trump flag? Perhaps drunkenly abscond with the Q flag?
edit: Note also the place has a massive and unsightly For Sale banner on the exterior porch wall, which is out of character for the area. May be the landlord selling to get rid of the tenant, or they may own the place.
