I just happened to check Twitter right after he tweeted and couldn’t wait for the bot to post before calling the tweet insane.
Who is “we”?
America has legitimate energy security concerns. The shale oil appears to resolve that. But they are expensive. If oil prices fall below extraction costs then America is either paying above the odds or reliant on imports.
Again. The obvious answer is to fund a rapid energy transition away from fossil fuels. But in the absence of that, America needs oil.
Regarding the oil reserves. Yeah. The reserves can be expanded by a) discovering more oil and b) improving technology so we can recover more of it.
The point I was trying to make was that there is more oil in the ground than we can safely extract without catastrophic global warming.
Slow and steady.
Oo, let’s bring back PEAK OIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
Sometimes I think it’d be fun to spend a few months boating around all the inland waterways in the eastern US. There’s something like 20k miles of them, most interconnected.
Then I remember I’d constantly be surrounded by typical boaters.
Lol as someone who worked multiple years as a professional captain, the stupidity of recreational boaters absolutely cannot be understated by me. It is jaw dropping.
Even if you think you know what you’re doing I promise you, you probably don’t.
I’m probably going to regret this, but have you seen Collapse? I look at it now as sort of what if Trump had been poor and not quite so dumb, and instead had focused his relentless foreboding on peak oil.
Discussion about this guy and the documentary can go about as well as a debate over tipping, but sometimes I gotta shove all in and see what happens.
Good to hear. Keep at it. A few words or more a day will get you a book a lot faster than not writing anything at all.
It’s just funny he says it all out loud. They definitely haven’t told him the usual government secrets presidents learn lol
I’m currently arguing with a bunch of Trump supporters on a golf forum. It is going about as well as you’d expect. But its strangely therapeutic.
I don’t want to stop him, I think it is funny.
I was referring to his staff trying to stop him.
No invitation to rail? You tease us.
Also pretty sure riverman has previously advised against such activities. I’m starting to think his actions aren’t entirely consistent with his words.
I’m honestly embarrassed by what I’m engaging in.
I just got told to watch a 58 minute YOUTOOB to learn why “talking to each other” is the answer to all our problems.
What is it with the right and YOUTUBES? I really don’t get it.
Is it simply that they can’t think for themselves? Or is there something else?
We all grieve in different ways.
