The payroll tax one shouldn’t be too hard though. IRS puts out a reg to employers saying “stop collecting payroll taxes from employees paychecks.” Everyone’s paychecks instantly go up (a ton by the way, payroll taxes are a lot). Trump sends out a mailer telling everyone they got a Trump Raise. All the idiots vote for Trump. Then they all owe thousands to the IRS at the end of the year because they’re idiots.
Did he promise a stimulus or only UE money?

Even in house of cards though the action had more validity because the writers were probably like “this is too unbelievable.” So in House of Cards the president declared an “emergency.” And then used it as emergency funds. This isn’t even that.

Tehre’s no stimulus, it’s UE money, payroll holiday, student loan deferment, eviction moratorium.
Would be funny if John Roberts was like, “Sorry, you had to declare it was a national emergency BEFORE stealing the funds from FEMA. You did it after, so 5-4 you lose.”
But less funny since the ruling would be like 11/4/20 and Trump would be like, “Whatever, you think I wanted to keep giving money to the poor? LOL FUCK YOU JOHN!”
