Basically, Trump went out to promise literally everything and is clearly not going to deliver any of it because he would have already done so if he wanted to. That and he doesnât have the power to unilaterally do most of it.
Will it work? Probably not. Maybe some disillusioned Trump voters change their mind briefly but forget about this in a week since most Americans have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to news.
The election will come down to whoever releases the biggest story a couple of days before it. Iâm sure both administrations have something big set up for that moment.
The USPS shit is infuriating. Iâm already seeing it. Stuff that normally takes 2 days to get here even during covid is now taking 6+ days. And itâs only going to get worse as time goes on. The tracker says its in a city 25 miles from me but will take 4 days to arrive wtf.

Anecdotally, weâve been receiving our daily USPS mail delivery at about 6pm the last two weeks. It always used to be here by 12 or 1pm.
A whole lot of people are going to be pissed off when they stop getting their mail or it comes late. Unfortunately theyâll be pissed at the USPS and probably start saying âthe USPS doesnât work, itâs wasting money and not delivering. Time to get rid of it.â They wonât for one second think critically and determine WHY it isnât working as it should or who is truly to blame.
FedEx and UPS canât possibly be set up to handle daily deliveries to every house in the country. I donât think most people realize just how much service the USPS provides, and theyâll wish it was back soon after itâs gone.

You can say this about practically any US Federal department. Reagan successfully marketed anti government sentiment with simple catch phrases and the left still is irrationally timid about stating their value. Just saw a tweet (unverified with a news source) that claims USPS told states that they must use first class stamps for ballots, not $0.20 bulk rate.
Itâs pretty disgusting watching this play out in real time. Iâm high risk for covid, and probably going to vote in person, unless I can drop a ballot off in person. I think theyâre going to succeed in disenfranchising a lot of people who vote by mail and it may just get the job done for Trump.
