I think most of us would be thrown off by how fucking stupid Trump is in person.

Crazy that Yo Semite isn’t the most ridiculous thing he’s said today.

It’s seriously creating cognitive dissonance seeing him sign a bill that is widely bipartisan and supported by most conversation and environmental groups.

I can’t help but be scared of some hidden poison pill not yet identified.

Someone finally told him about the marines.

He’s not going to say anything about the explosion in Beirut, is he.

Did those Marines even go to Trump’s inauguration?

He’s been chipping away at public land pretty much since inauguration, this new law is like if he agreed to a very small tax increase after cutting taxes by $1.5 trillion in 2018.

I’m happy it passed, but it doesn’t need to have a poison pill if it can sufficiently provide cover for the damage being done to the parks and environment in general.

“The Trump administration has undermined public land protection more than any in my lifetime. It slashed Bear Ears National Monument in Utah by 85 percent, reduced Grand Staircase Escalante by 50 percent, removed protection for millions of acres of sage-grouse habitat in Western states, opened the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and most of the U.S. coastline to oil and gas drilling, reduced protections for wetlands, and weakened the Endangered Species Act. Earlier this year, Trump proposed cutting discretionary spending on the Land and Water Conservation Fund by 97 percent.” - Linda Bilmes, the Daniel Patrick Moynihan Senior Lecturer in Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School (HKS)
