WTF is this?
Pennsylvania can vote for Joe Biden. Heâs from Scranton, Pennsylvania
As somebody who lived way too close to Scranton, itâs a shockingly accurate description. It was the setting of The Office because it is as unappealing as Slough was in the UK version.
Gives new meaning to âenvironmental impactâ.
Counterpoint: Itâs always stupidity, and thereâs never a master plan.
Can confirm. I went to the pizza place that was mentioned a few times in the office as being great, and was based on a real pizza place. The pizza was not good. Also went to the steamtown mall that was referenced a few times. Looked like the mall from dawn of the dead after the zombies had broken in.
Racist Republican says he wants to give black people a one way ticket out of the USA, I turn it back around on him and his fellow racists and suggest that if they donât like America, there are plenty of other countries. Perhaps Russia is more to their liking?
It reads like âI can support shipping out black people if we also get to ship out the racists.â
Oh my bad, no obviously not. Iâm saying I can support paying to ship people out as long as itâs all the racists.
Iâm not sure why yet another poster is doubling down on a Bad Post instead ofâ
Oh wait, cuse is doing the other thing
Was Art Vandelay every actually an architect? I remember him being an importer-exporter.
George always pretended to be the architect himself, I think.
Iâm very possibly wrong.
That entire county was fairly prosperous in the early 20th century because of coal mining. After the coal was all mined, it went the same way as West Virginia and Ohio: loss of purpose and hopelessness throughout most of the rural areas of the state. Itâs why Pennsylvania has the 4th highest opioid OD rate in the country. Only West Virginia, Delaware, and Maryland top PA.
Havenât been to the Steamtown Mall in the last 10 years or so. Back then, it was a shithole. Since then, I read that it was foreclosed on. So, I imagine itâs very different now.
I think youâre right. Art Vandelay made his first appearance as an importer/exporter in the episode I
was thinking of. George wanted to be introduced as an architect.

The Trump administration granted a $21 million contract to a researcher to determine if Pepcid AC could treat COVID-19.
Seems like a prudent financial decision.
A senior FDA official expressed concern over the large amount of famotidine that Northwell was proposing to give COVID patients each day. Plans for the trial would need to slow down so FDA could ensure it was safe.
Jeff Murray, deputy director of FDAâs antivirals division, told Northwell to limit the dosage, according to the emails. Even after Northwell did so, Murray said its doctors were still âpushing the levels of intravenous famotidine (even with your recent dose reduction) to the limitsâ when compared to previous clinical tests and toxicology studies in animals.
