There has never been an athlete like Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl. I used to spend hours on Tecmo Super Bowl trying to go 19-0 with the Bills, and I could never do it…because the Raiders were always on the schedule.

If I hold back the tide of how horrifying this is, holy shit is this fascinating. All of the arguments for libertarianism, states right, unhinged free market capitalism–GET GOVERNMENT OUT OF THE WAY–are thrown aside by conservatives as soon as a conservative is in power. It’s never been about government overreach–just about whether the government is using overreach to enforce conservative values. There is no such thing as hypocrisy for people who do not value sincerity. There is only obedience and the tools to force you to submit.
