I think calling Milania a mail-order bride is disrespectful to Slovenia and gives her more cover than she deserves. It was the wealthiest and freest parts of Yugoslavia, relatively untouched by the Cold War, and gained independence long before the rest of the region went to shit. She didn’t leave until 1996, by which point it was a stable democracy, member of the UN, and well along the path to joining NATO and the EU. Its current per capita GDP is roughly the same as Israel.

For sure. At this point she is completely complicit and in no way some innocent victim. She married a monster for the money and doesn’t care who or how many get hurt.
