Thread worth a read.
It’s so weird to pick this as his big issue. It has like 35% support.
It was a big issue 30 years ago.
He’s not exactly know for carefully deliberating on matters before raising them in the public discourse. FLAG BURNING looks great in all caps and that’s good enough for ol’ Donnie Dumb Dumb.
Ha ha, this too. Donnie Dumb Dumb doesnt exactly have his finger on the pulse of America. His brain is probably churning trying to link flag burning to those black kids that raped that lady in Central Park.
Thoughts and prayers
Lol, fuck that guy
What year do you guys think he thinks it is?
I am not sure if he is actually confused about what year it is, but his perspectives on the world are no different than a typical conservative circa 1989. To the extent he has any quasi coherent political ideas, they basically boil down to trying to solve 30 year old problems with ideas that were already demonstrably wrong 30 years ago.
My, will it be ironic when Haiti gets added to this list.
Or any of the original Muslim travel ban countries.
30 years sounds exactly right. I was a dumbass 17 year old and was still able to immediately understand how absurd it was to restrict peoples’ freedom of expression in the name of protecting a symbol of…freedom.
well when Kayleigh gets fired I know who the next press secretary will be
Stance on flag burning is a really good litmus test of whether that person wants the flag to be a symbol of freedom, or a symbol of…something else.
The Flag Protection Act was introduced 15 years ago by Bob Bennett and HRC.
I mean, I would never think to burn a flag because I have no reason to, but at the same time, if someone wants to burn a flag, go for it. Burn LeBron’s Cavs jersey, too, for all I care.
