It’s actually the perfect antidote to any addiction in the way it’s easy to kick a meth problem if you take a straight IV of morphine all day.

Edit: okay ponied by a much longer but great cuse post

Berman’s fight become moot if Clayton is approved. I suspect that is why they selected Clayton. He’s already been approved once by the Senate (with some bipartisan support at 61-37) so less need for full vetting. To rush him through, they only need support of all the R senators and he’s someone they will likely all be fine with. Had they selected a full Trump-loyalist, you might have seen enough push-back for Romney, Collins, etc. to at least delay the confirmation.

This is an excellent thread from the author of Boom Town.

Whatever, they got Capone for taxes. Comeuppance is comeuppance.

This dude is blowing a shofar and giving a speech about how Dr. Fauci and Bill Gates want to inject you with microchips.

I could see Romney being a no vote. Possibly concerned murk and Collins. Who’s the fourth no vote? Otherwise, you’re right.

I could see some of the same people who are complaining about Trump firing IGs to raise concerns about him firing Berman. Perhaps not enough to vote no, but at least enough to delay and call for some inquiry into the issue.

WARNING : conspiracy theory

Maybe their connection to Epstein explains it.

The right wing consipracy theory , that Trump and Barr are secretly arresting a pedophile ring of high profile perps, smells a lot like a weird sort of projection the right would do if they were the perps.

Maybe putin hacked epstein, and got the reciepts.

Easier explanation si that Barr is clashing with Berman over a gj indicting Giuliani. Neither could go public about that right now because gj proceedings are secret. I believe that a USA needs approval from main justice go get an indictment, but not sure if one could sort of go rogue and do it anyway without that approval.

I think the confirmation vote will mirror the impeachment vote exactly.

Obviously confirming the new guy is endorsing obstruction of justice if not outright committing it, but we have long since passed that stage of the proceedings.

Yeah that’s why I think Romney is a no.

Now take 2. And past the election, Biden wins and he keeps his job as USA. He then ends up prosecuting trump for a handful of crimes Trump committed in his jurisdiction.

Like when the NHL put a tracker in the puck so they could add graphics as it moved.

We need that for the virus.

Good god this Tulsa event is going to be an absolute shit show.

Some good points. I don’t book or gram but I do twee. A couple of weeks ago I realized I was following people who made me angry or upset every time I saw one of their tweets. For a long time I convinced myself it was the right thing to do, in take as broad a spectrum as possible to make sure you aren’t missing part of the picture.

But every time I saw a horrible tweet from Tomi Lahren I could feel a negative shift in my physical state of being. I finally decided to unfollow and block / mute people like that from my world. I realize I was not giving up a source of information I was just using their tweets to punish myself for whatever unknown things I must be carrying guilt for.

Part of it is therapeutic for some of those though. The world has become so upside down and frustrating that yelling at windmills can let a little steam escape. Undoubtedly there are much better and healthier ways to achieve those goals.
