Maybe $30k? No way to tell home much research and background work went into the case before the firm was terminated/withdrew. I hope there wasn’t more than an hour billed for the letter itself.
I don’t know, it must take some skill to squeeze every possible excuse for noncompliance into such a short letter.
Well, they’re coming from SOMEWHERE in California - since 1990 the population in our area has gone from about 190K to 350K plus, and from what I can tell most of them are from California. Lots are retirees - they sold the bungalow they bought in San Jose in 1975 for 150K for a couple of million, so the can buy a really nice house up here (probably pay more taxes though) - and another big chunk are moving up here for Tesla/Amazon etc. etc.
In a lot of ways I like the area better - lots of new restaurants, better shopping, entertainment options but it’s not stupid crowded. Yet.
And the road thing is crazy - we go hiking in California a lot, and you can tell you’re back in Nevada because you don’t feel your fillings being knocked out of your teeth on the roads.

My understanding is that line prosecutors can’t get permission to order decaf coffee instead of regular without getting approval from Main Justice these days. I have that on pretty good authority. They don’t get to ask for an indictment without approval.
In other news, it does not appear Pelosi currently has the votes to “authorize an impeachment inquiry.”
What would be the difference in holding a vote versus what they’re doing right now?
Can you imagine being that fucking awful at your job. Every dem who doesn’t vote should be targeted hard next election. They are worse than the republicans.
No difference. It’s pure republicans bullshit that they need a vote. There is nothing in the constitution or house rules about a vote to start impeachment.
Instead they are worried about the democrats in trump districts or toss ups. Such a dumb strategy. Only 25% of the population is against an investigation. This chickenshit policy by the dems is pure cowardice without cause.

I mean I’m concluding that based on the fact that she met with her caucus about possibly having a vote and then decided not to have a vote.
I think the Caucus told her there is no way in hell she should do a vote, because it’s what the clowns want. If she wants a vote, bring articles of impeachment. They have plenty.
How about a vote on whether they should vote on taking a vote?
