Rudy is going to jail very soon at the hands of SDNY. As to him cooperating with the Dems I don’t think it matters very much. He’s going to be volunteering to sing for his supper soon enough if he ever wants to smell freedom again.
That’s pretty much true. Worse case Rudy staves off all efforts to compel testimony and and it’s all part of the broader impeachment inquiry. Hell, I think it’s likely that he never testifies. Word is he’s under criminal investigation. What lawyer would let him sit for an 8 hour interview under oath?
Trump became president by convincing a bunch of rubes, racists, and fundies that he would drain the swamp. Well, when your 2nd lawyer is indicted it’s kinda hard to argue that you’re draining the swamp. It sucks that we have to depend on the American People to recognize that, but it’s kind of the inevitable result of the how we’ve set up our democracy (which is, shall we say, less than ideal).

So, do you think Donald J. Trump committed any impeachable offenses? If so, name your top 5 in order of importance. If he has not committed any impeachable offenses, in your opinion, why do you think he hasn’t?
And by the fact that you only did your typical cherry picking, does that mean we can assume everything else I wrote that you quoted is exactly the truth?
41 people were convicted after Watergate. At one point in time, none were convicted. It’s a process.

If they can’t compel truthful testimony from Lewandowski or Sessions, there’s zero reason to expect them to hold Giuliani to the fire. Best case scenario is he shows up, lies his ass off, and goes home.

Trump’s last lawyer is literally in prison for lying to Congress. If Rudy ever shows up, he ain’t saying a word. They should do his testimony in public. Just Rudy not saying a word.

I used up all my free NY Mag reads, but apparently Chiat’s column yesterday listed like 70 impeachable offenses. I personally think they should go with the top 50 just to keep things focused.
