9.8 years is more than enough time to get the job done
I cannot wish for more misery than I wish on this man.
LOL at Trump thinking only 25% want him impeached.
I think it’s pretty clear that the Trump Train is running out of steam and the Syria action gives evangelicals, “security” conservatives, and even Fox News as good excuse as any to jump ship before the final crash.
Gonna DVR some Fox today. I suspect they will not cover up the Turkey debacle as they would have a year ago.

I know this forum is not fond of lawyers, especially conservative lawyers, but that some powerful GOP lawyers would speak so strongly is an indication of how much Trump is alienating the party.
“This letter is bananas,” said Gregg Nunziata, who previously served as general counsel for Marco Rubio and, before that, the chief nominations counsel for Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee. “A barely-lawyered temper tantrum. A middle finger to Congress and its oversight responsibilities. No Member of Congress should accept it, no matter his or her view on the behavior of Pelosi, Schiff, or Trump. Things are bad. Things will get worse.”
“I cannot fathom how any self-respecting member of the bar could affix his name to this letter. It’s pure hackery, and it disgraces the profession,” added conservative legal luminary George Conway , who worked for Ken Starr during the investigation that led to Bill Clinton’s impeachment. He is married to counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway but has emerged as an outspoken Trump critic.
– “He is shaking the foundations of the republic,” said Kerry Kircher, the House counsel for the Republican majority between 2011 and 2016. “He is poking his fingers into all of the places where we have norms and traditions and things that both parties have respected for years, and he has blown all of those out the window,” Kircher explained earlier this week, before the Cipollone letter, to Seung Min Kim and Rachael Bade.
Religion is a stain on humanity. These people drive me bonkers.
Jesus fuck George Conway.
He’s not alienating Republicans, he’s exposing and embarrassing them. They’ll all vote for the next piece of shit the GOP puts up, who will do the same exact shit, possibly minus the open treason.
Someone mentioned it here yesterday but a fine allows rich people to do anything they want legally. It’s true. Trump is upsetting the apple cart with what he’s doing. That’s why the conservative lawyers are all aghast about Trump’s letter to Pelosi. Instead of having norms and traditions where both sides look the other way, Trump is blowing that up.
Trouble is that the only GOP lawyers who matter are the ones in Congress and they’re passing around Trump loyalty pledges for everyone to sign.
This is the main story. It’s not whether this will work in the extremely short term (it will). It’s what it will do to the long term viability of the GOP brand. This is just awful for that. Right now high level GOP insiders are in a war room trying to figure out how they can separate Trump from their suckers. They like him about as much as an airline likes a hijacker.
They have to bow and scrape in public, but there’s zero chance they are anything but panicking and howling mad in private. This dude will intentionally crash the plane into the ground if they make a move on him and miss though. They are panicking because they realize that the plane is losing altitude rapidly with this guy at the controls and he definitely doesn’t have any training as a pilot. Their prospects for a safe landing are getting lower with every passing hour.
