The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: ORANGE Gettin' PEACHed, Nation Goes BANANAS

Thanks.

And yes, I do believe that many Republicans will admit that what Trump did is very wrong.

I guess what I meant by “Republican voters don’t care” was “Republican voters won’t care enough to vote anything but Republican”. Sure, some will, but the number of potentially convertible Republican voters right now is vastly dwarfed by the number of new voters we should be spending our time on.

If it gets them to not vote (which is what they really want to do), I guess it would be effective. I mean, the people who don’t think he did anything wrong will never vote a Democrat anyway. There are quite a few Republicans who would thought they would have died before voting for Clinton in 2016, but they did it.

The funny thing is with Pelosi’s help, those types going to try to push the Democratic Party much further right just because they don’t want to vote GOP. It will essentially be time to worry when there are 50 Blue Dogs in the House, but I think the left of the party is finally winning. We have many more members than the Blue Dogs do, and I think it will grow in 2020. Maybe we’ll get really lucky and Pelosi will be out.

The crooks.

Romney supports all of those things as well.

I’m going to single this out, and give you a helpful quick primer for when you decide to spout bullshit like this.

  1. In Volume I of the report, there were many instances of conspiracies in motion. The crimes didn’t complete because:
    a) Newspaper reporting broke in on conspiracies in progress, and the actors got scared and stopped the operation.
    b) The Russians didn’t believe that certain people were actually in the inner circle who were trying aggressively to commit crimes, so they didn’t go through.
    c) There was gross incompetence on the Trump side of the conspiracy, and the crimes did not complete because of that.
    d) Members of the Trump admin insulted the people they were supposed to complete the conspiracies with, so the crime did not complete.
    e) Most of the conspiracies involved a foreign actor and two people on the American side in the direct conspiracy. The foreign actor would not appear for testimony, and the American side magically destroyed the evidence of them going for a conspiracy. Without corroboration, and one lie from one side of the American conspiracy they couldn’t convict. They had evidence, but that evidence was insufficient to convict.

  2. For Volume II, it lays out 11 attempts (think this is correct) of obstruction by the president. I think he is absolutely nailed on 7 of them. These are crimes that are impeachable, and the evidence has already been gathered and is ready for presentation in articles of impeachment. The House wants the underlying material and testimony to make sure it’s accurate. That’s reasonable, but they can’t get it. No matter whether the president’s attempts at obstruction completed, they are still crimes. All of his attempts at obstruction were not completed, and Mueller explicitly said if they had been that the people asked to do the event would have been charged.

  3. The report was quite obviously not bullshit, because Barr is abusing his power traipsing around the world trying to get world leaders to undermine it. They want it to be that Ukraine was who interfered in the election (to cause Trump to win while helping Clinton?). They want it to not be Russia…hmm.

  4. Mueller explicitly said the jurisdiction for crimes of the president is Congress. He can’t help people like Pelosi have zero backbone when it comes to doing their Constitutional duty.

Quick Questions For You:

  1. Who do you think would have been the best person for the Trump nominated acting Attorney General to appoint as Special Counsel?
  2. What do you think Mueller should have done to make his case super easy for Congress (keeping in mind that he did that)?

If it helps, I bought some Johnnie Walker for the weekends.

I never realized that expanding Medicare to all Americans would take it away from seniors.

Olds will fall for it. They “earned” their Medicare. Young people just want free stuff. It’s the same bullshit argument about college.

Medicare for all would have no premiums.
