Looks like the intelligence committee is working through the recess and calling witnesses next week to testify.

Which I think is bullshit, the entire democratic caucus should stay and work cohesively. Judiciary should be recalling witnesses that previously were stonewalling them before formal impeachment was announced.

Yeah, I’m a bit saucy, so you can thing of it as me being intentionally borderline troll-y by phrasing it that way. It is intentionally flippant.

It hadn’t occurred to me until it was mentioned in comments in other places that this might be a reason. I assume that is the reason for a regular reason being scheduled at this time. And institutional inertia explains a reluctance to consider other options. I think Pelosi had a course charted out in her mind and impeachment is an improvisation that upsets her plans.
