Wouldn’t be surprising. I mean he’s basically doing what Putin did with Russia: stealing money from his own people via the government and putting it into his own pocket and the pockets of people who support him. He’s been doing it for damn near 20 years and will do it until he dies.
Trump is basically a Putin who is currently constrained by whatever is left of America’s democracy. Trump getting reelected in 2020 would be like the moment when the Titanic smashed into the iceberg. You either get off the ship ASAP or go down with it.

Boris Johnson has waded into the escalating trade row between the US and China, saying he wants to see tariffs removed.
Speaking to reporters en route to the G7 summit in Biarritz, the British prime minister said he was “very, very concerned,” about the tit-for-tat conflict between the US and China. The two countries have imposed tariffs on a swath of each other’s imports, as the White House accuses Beijing of unfair competition, and China retaliates.
On Friday, Trump issued a series of bizarre tweets, including one “ordering” US firms to divest from China, after Beijing announced new retaliatory measures.
I hope he gets pushed on this more over the weekend.

The best part of his European adventures is media actually asking him questions and not just letting him ramble near helicopters.
Of course there’s always some secret Putin meeting thrown in but that’s the price we pay.

The Trump administration is planning to open a US consulate in Greenland for the first time in decades, amid increased strategic and economic interest in the Danish territory.
The state department said in a letter to Congress that re-establishing a consulate in Nuuk is part of a broader plan to increase the US presence in the arctic. A copy of the letter was obtained by the Associated Press.
The US has a “strategic interest in enhancing political, economic, and commercial relationships across the Arctic region”, said the letter to the Senate foreign relations committee.
