I want to harp on this for a second. This is another area where the Democratic party has absolutely, unequivocally failed. All the bullshit appeals to the good ole’ days of COMPROMISE! and CIVILITY! has obscured the fact the DONALD TRUMP IS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. The fact that this hasn’t been shouted from the rooftops since day one is a horrendous failure that has served to normalize the non-Trump Republican ghouls whose policies would have no substantial difference from Trump’s.
These are people that agree with Trump in basically every way, they just think he needs to be a little nicer as his administration fucks over the poor and minorities. All the crowing about how these Never-Trumpers are noble allies has obscured their complicity in the past several decades of Republican bullshit.
I swear to God if one of these dopes successfully primaries Trump and anyone on the left starts celebrating it I will slap them.

This is where posters like Dvault are invaluable in his writings on these subjects as I can’t express just what is happening.
There is no compromise with the GOP and now the Trump GOP is even harsher to deal with as their so inept and corrupt that its their way or fake news.
The whole base is in on it now, no compromise ever and ask for compromise when not in power (scream from the heavens with added support from 3 major networks in CNN, MSNBC & Fox) + some plants in the democratic party like Joe (Biden 
Manchin? And senators) who got Currupt, sorry got paid by lobbying firms, etc.
Its utterly frustrating when hearing the talking heads say thing like “we need to rid the country of Trump” and then say “The democratic Party needs someone to compromise” is imo total defeatist thinking.
