the main takeaway here for people who haven’t been paying attention is that PRESIDENT MCDEALS is absolutely incapable of understanding foreign policy at any level. His brain is just not capable of comprehending anything other than a 1-on-1 negotiation (and even then, he’s only capable of zero-sum thinking). Anything that has muliple parties involved just liquefies whatever is left of his syphilis-riddled brain - which explains why he hates mulitlateral talks, the UN, NATO, TPP, etc. He literally can’t understand any of these things, at all.
This is just the first time it’s actually blown up in his face this visibly.

He is incapable of thinking rationally. This is what happens when wealthy people are surrounded by wealthy people their entire lives. They don’t understand reality because they don’t know what reality is.
