If thereâs really a press conference tomorrow, I think itâs unlikely to be related to Biden but possibly related to election security.
It didnât get much attention, but the FBI released a 9-minute video on election security yesterday featuring Wray and several other NatSec people. The implicit message was that Trump is full of shit and theyâre all over election security and thereâs nothing to worry about and every should vote with confidence.
At first I thought the press conference might be an extension of this message. They know heâs losing and they want to distance themselves from his nonsense (and hopefully Barr is incapacitated with Covid and couldnât stop them).
But one of the people on the list is a very specific US Attorney from Virginia, G. Zachary Terwilliger. He wouldnât be there for some generic election security assurances, so that sort of undercuts my theory. Heâs probably not there unless theyâre announcing charges or indictments or whatever.
Googling Terwilliger brings up some recent cases involving Russian hackers/trolls as well as Edward Snowden and Covid PPP fraud.
So it could be anything, but Iâm finding it hard to believe this is some bombshell designed to upend the election in Trumpâs favor. Wrayâs not pivoting from that election security video he did yesterday to indicting Obama tomorrow.
Finally, G. Zachary Terwilliger is a badass name and also he looks like 90% Don Draper and 10% Rob Riggle.

Yes but it was 10h ago. Trump lost the election since then, so a lot has happened.
That was exactly the plot of âWhite House Downâ except the cook was in the FBI. He and his daughter were taking a tour immediately after being rejected for the Secret Service when the bad guys launched their assault.
