It’s in the constitution that the nations capital can’t be a state. The dems are working around this by just making everything except federal land part of the state, so just the suburbs, but come the fuck on this court is not going to allow that and you know it.
Maybe I can get some lawbro takes on this, but from what I’ve seen listening to 5-4 I’d say 100% they strike down any attempt to make DC a state. This is bad for Republicans and thats all that matters to t hem. Then you got Puerto Rico which should be made a state but that is in no way two dem senators locked. They’re super conservative and have statewide Republicans all the time.
So yeah, imo we need to pack the court before DC statehood is even a possibility.

Meh fuck the police but I do feel bad for some of these people. I watched some of them fight super hard to stop this shit. Like I posted early in the fight officers were getting dragged off and beaten while throwing punches themselves and putting their bodies in harms way. It must suck to do that and then get lumped in with all the evil fucks who were in fact in on it.
