The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode XIV: T-minus 97 Hours

Theyv’e gotta all be downloaded and archived in a million places by now.

I agree, but everything he’s ever posted has already been archived by lots and lots of people. Hell, we have 18 months’ worth right here.

But on Friday, officials from Mr. Sherwin’s office said that no charges would be filed against anyone who made inflammatory comments at the rally where the president spoke.

“Don’t expect any charges of that nature,” said Ken Kohl, the acting principal assistant U.S. attorney and the deputy chief of the office’s national security division.

A Justice Department spokesman later reiterated that prosecutors have not charged anyone with insurrection or incitement and that their focus “is on the events at the Capitol.”

During the earlier rally on Wednesday, other close allies to the president also exhorted the crowd to confront lawmakers, who met on Wednesday at the Capitol to certify President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s Electoral College victory.

Mr. Trump’s elder son, Donald Trump Jr., said that Republicans should back Mr. Trump’s efforts to undo the election result or face consequences. “We’re coming for you,” he said.

Rudolph W. Giuliani, Mr. Trump’s personal lawyer, told the president’s supporters that they would need to engage in “trial by combat” against Democrats if they wanted to overturn the election results.

Hopefully all of Trump’s tweets & retweets are archived somewhere. Because letting that insanity get flushed down the memory hole is a bad thing, imo. If all that’s left is official statements and speeches, then the ridiculousness of his reign of lies and misinformation will be forgotten too easily.

It’s going to be the most liked tweet in history, which will drive Trump insane.

Isn’t there some Presidential records law that requires them to be archived by the govt?

They could have done this from day 1.

I guess it looks like this is more or less what happened. However, in their justification they do rely heavily on the tweet today where he said he would not attend the inauguration.

He could get a HAM radio license but he’d need to pass a 35-question test on radio theory and regulations. He’s drawing live if identifying cartoon drawings of giraffes is a significant part of radio theory.

that’s the irony. what’s the point in banning trump from every platform if we can’t watch his reaction because he’s banned on every platform.

It’s called the unhinged paradox.
