Given the weak response by the police, a well-planned one executed by professionals would have already overthrown the government.

i saw someone raise the point that not only would the capitol complex need to be swept for explosives, but also for bugs and other tools of espionage.
and ideally disinfected for coronavirus.

i didn’t see completely but sounded like a shot and somene going down in the protestors at the door and them reaching down to check whoever went down.
For one, secret service will just start unloading with real bullets. I think they disperse quickly when faced with that.
You could kill every elected official in DC and burn all the buildings and it would not overthrow the government. The government was determined on Dec 14. It is a legal concept not a physical thing.
