It’s mostly random chance’s fault. Maybe a different government in China would have saved lives, maybe it wouldn’t have made any difference. Same goes for Trump. Some people expend a lot of energy on Trump’s failures largely because they hate Trump. Some expend energy on China’s because they hate Chinese people.

Let’s not forget that the Trump Administration’s/Republican’s carelessness with the economy (tax cuts for big business and the rich, etc.) has greatly hurt the government’s ability to help Americans.

I like how these people in the press conference are referring to the “President’s directives.” Yeah, like he’s telling them useful, good things to do. His only directives are to prop up the stock market to help his election chances.
Because Trump is a racist, his early Chinese ban this January and his Iran ban (as part of the Muslim ban), helped slow it.
Because Trump is an idiot who only cares about the stock market, he denied/minimized for a few weeks when we knew it was serious, which helped it spread in the US.
Obama/Biden would have done the opposite on both counts, net ~wash.
