I don’t know much about Clyburn, but I get angry about him doing victory laps for saving Biden in SC. Thanks for your work in the 60s on civil rights, but you may have doomed us.
Klob and Pete would have been bad, but both can speak coherently and can defend any attacks lobbed their way. They would make a major gaffe every time they spoke. They would be way less likely to have a credible assault allegation come out against them.
I guess Bloomberg could have been worse. I’ll give you that.
Probably indictments.
I may be starting to come around on this guy.
He’s going to arrest Obama during the speech for doing OBAMAGATE. ldo
If you don’t think the Republicans would have made up some crazy gay orgy(not that there is anything wrong with that) scandal about Pete you are naive.
My thoughts exactly. The fact that Pete is gay would have fueled insane rumors for close to half of the country and none of them would have to be based in any reality.
So basically, he’s giving a commencement address at a commencement ceremony.
I guess it’s being covered because people want to remember what a president is supposed to sound like.
His aides tried but Bernie wouldn’t call Clyburn. You’re angry at the wrong guy on this one.
speaking of lol political blunders, bye justin amash, you did annoy people for a few minutes like a true libertarian I’ll give you that.
Imagine a country whose direction is driven by the breeze coming out of Jared Kushner’s mouth.
Hopefully we now can be done with anyone being impressed by Harvard. Ever.
I think you can cleanly divide Harvard or any other prestige school between rich people’s kids and smart kids. Kids that get into top schools on academic scholarships are indeed very smart and prone to long term earned success
wait, Jared has a harvard degree in GOVERNMENT???
I don’t know about that. The kids of rich parents will presumably have had top educations from preschool and access to every possible opportunity to improve themselves prior to college. As such, many of them will probably be legitimately smart.
Also, my understanding (I could be wrong on this) is that lots of schools like Harvard will give out scholarships if your parent’s income is below a certain threshold. So the only difference between a middle tier Harvard kid on a scholarship and one who isn’t, is how rich their parents are. Their achievements to that point are probably about the same.
Also, when you say “rich”, it kind of depends on how rich you’re talking about.
I think if you want to draw lines, I’d put the following on one side:
–kids of legacies, big donors, and celebrities
–athletes (especially big money sports – I know Ivies don’t exactly give athletic scholarships, but still)
And everyone else on the other.
How many times has he made this exact tweet?
