Hey it’s not just anyone who can sell a piece of shit building for 3X it’s market rate. Admittedly he sold it to some shady russian oligarchs running a company called “not a money laundering front inc.” est. last tuesday (disolving next tuesday), but I’m sure it was a tough negotiating process.

Kushner is exactly the kind of imbecile that money launderers find to do deals where they give you 10 million dollars and a month later you give them back 9 million dollars. Only someone like Jared would think, oh sure that makes sense.

I mean, this is only true because right wing media would say it. Really 40-50% of the country will believe whatever narrative a handful of conservative media outlets tell them regardless of whether it’s based in fact.

Of course, but my point is that when we see discussions of out of control subpoenas as a future hypothetical, 40% of Americans, half of Congress and probably four SCOTUS justices see it as a current problem in the House.
The proper response is, “So what? If the American people see overreach, we have elections every two years. If there is overreach, the subpoenas won’t turn up wrong doing. The founders wanted to get out from under a tyrannical king, not create one of their own. Congressional oversight must remain strong and substantial to fulfill the founders wishes.”
