Neal Kaytal who is pretty knowledgeable and lol George Conway giving live discussion of the supreme court stuff today.

Yup law bros saying 5-4 in favor of Congress would be shockingly low. Expected “much better than that”. I read that at 7-2 or better.

Gonna be lots of wailing when it’s 4-5.

Yeah 100k dead although a large number is still small enough not to personally cause many potential Trump voters grief, which is all that matters to them.

I think this is wrong for a number of reasons elucidated itt.

If/when his odds hit 6/4 I’ll back him but I hate betting on anything at evens.

Also if Republicans think they are way behind it will make them all the more motivated to step-up voter suppression efforts

LOL at the “best of all worlds”. Yes donnie 1500+ needlessly dead a day, 15% and rising unemployment and a likely 5T+ deficit. This sure is awesom! Also he doesn’t seem to get oil production in the US is completely dead even if oil prices went up 50% from here.

“Congress has never subpoenaed a sitting President’s personal records”

  • Yeah because every other President voluntarily released tax returns, asshole.

“Can’t ask for a legitimate purpose, because then Congress will just say its a legitimate purpose when its not” LOLOLOLOLOLOL

They are seriously arguing the House can never subpoena the President. Incredible.

I’m 100% sure we will get another moment like this, but 50/50 which person scores the dunk

MAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The MAG triple A sounds like ammunition

But if course they mean a Dem house cannot subpoena a Rep President. There has to be two sets of laws.

I chuckle a little every time Trump’s lawyers accuse people of using the same brain dead strategies that got them into this mess

Ginsberg: every president turned over tax returns, of course there is no precedent. How do you distinguish Whitewater or Hillary’s law firm billing records? You say this is “one of a kind” but its obviously not. Nixon lost 9-0 for a reason, dumbass. What the hell is wrong with you?

Trump stooge: Watergate and Whitewater are old cases (what?).

Thomas: can Congress ever subpoena private documents?

Stooge: maybe

Thomas: when?

Stooge: rambles, non-responsive

Thomas: they can just subpoena through impeachment, why does this difference between impeachment and legislation matter

lmao love how they just cut off his rambling mid-sentence

Breyer: are you saying the Watergate subpoenas were unlawful? Yes or no?

Stooge: non-responsive

Listening to SCOTUS, recording senate but watching on mute. Lamar has such a punchable face.

Brennan ripping guy asking how this is different than ervin during watergate.

You’re already accepting the GRI — oh, gift, I see.

Breyer: Why is the standard for personal papers BEFORE HE BECAME PRESIDENT more protective than for papers DURING THE PRESIDENCY (as in watergate)

Stooge: non-responsive, rambles

Trump lacks the patience or discipline to do a please proceed move, imo.
