So we lose 20.5 million jobs and unemployment goes up to 14.7% and when I look at the stock market I see a decent bump. I have resigned myself to the realization that there are many things I may never really understand. This would be one of them.

Lower employment costs = more profits.
The problem with our economy is job growth is always hard won. Most big companies will not just hire everyone back. As recently been reported many temporary layoffs and furloughs are becoming permanent.
Even if things go swimmingly I still think we have near double digit unemployment in November.
Itās even weirder than that. NASDAQ is up in 2020.
