If you look at his childhood, thatās what you see. A father who was demeaning, humiliating, attacking, and aggressive. A mother who was ineffective in protecting their kids. One of his brothers drank himself to death. And Trump survived by scattering his attention, by tuning out. Because heās got severe ADHD. He canāt finish a page of a memo. Heās got no impulse regulation. He wakes up at 3 in the morning, he has to tweet. He canāt hold anything.
And he is an angry, jealous, fearful man with zero self concept, which causes him to make himself as grandiose as possible. And he has to prove that "more people went to my party than Barryās party. " You know, his predecessor. Itās on that level.
So heās a deeply traumatized guy, and this is the man that the country elevated to the most powerful position in our land.
