The Presidency of Donald J. Trump, Episode VII: We Are All Going To Die, Thanks Obama!

True, but in this instance, I don’t think this is about fetishizing the military. Coordinating the production and distribution of needed supplies seems like primarily a logistical problem. Seems like something military leadership is well-qualified for.

What’s so crazy about these tweets? What should he be doing, fact checking Trumps FB standings?

Yeah, so this is one of those spots where Chuck is right. The way I perceive it the process currently is that governors call Trump and beg/plead/fellate him for supplies. Any normal administration would have a medical supply tzar whose job was to micromanage where the supplies are going and when based on where they are needed (and make sure he/she got them back when it improved so that they could be redeployed to new hot zones). Usually that person would be some logistical person, probably from the military (because they are the only people with tons of experience in logistics at massive scale that isn’t primarily about cost control lolol).

Donald meanwhile is absolutely loving having all these powerful and important people grovel before him and has no intention of changing things up from how they are working now… meanwhile we’re still exporting PPE to other countries smart enough to exploit our willingness to part with them for sufficient amounts of cash. As the husband of a nurse I’ll admit to having absolutely no chill about that. This is compounded by the fact that logistics is what I do for a living, so I’m pretty much fully aware of how ridiculous the idea of a groveling powered medical supply chain is in the middle of a once in a century pandemic.

And of course it’s a huge fucking mistake for Trump as well. These governors didn’t become governor because they had no ego. Being forced to beg for stuff constantly is a pretty great way to give them all revenge fantasies. This fuckwit better win in November or he’s going to get absolutely destroyed by people the next president has absolutely no control over. He’s probably fucked even if Biden pardons him.

I watched “Dirty Money” - Malaysia yesterday.

The Prime Minister stole $900 million, got kicked out of office, AND IS NOT IN JAIL.

Jho Low stole closer to $3 BILLION AND IS CURRENTLY LIVING UNDER CHINA’S PROTECTION.

Nothing will happen to Trump.

I thought lower oil prices was the greatest tax cut in history? Down the memory hole I guess.

It’s the same dopey shit that hundreds of people try every day on Twitter. It’s useless and it’s target audience is civility dems and potential republican joe Biden voters.

And I know that this was a dig at my posts in this thread, but Schumer already tried fact checking trump from the Oval Office and trump laughed in his face! Great strategy chuck you got em!

Cool we doubled last week’s record in one week. I am sure Devin Nunes wish that everything return to normal in a week is going to happen.

How is the movie theater experience not ruined? I get the difference in experiences but between the trauma, cost and everyone realizing what a huge value streaming services are, how are theaters, which have been struggling for years, going to get people back and grow.

I think with time people will lose their memories, but this is going to have a profound impact that lasts for an extremely long time. I am not sure our leaders are really taking it seriously.

When one tweet can make insider cronies millions…

Fuck you for calling MBS a friend. What a disgrace.

You and your gd hospital ship. Nobody asked for the ship, nobody wants the ship. If you were to list all the ways to provide more hospital beds on land the very last choice would be ship.

Thanks for jacking up the price of gas when everyone is unemployed, Sir.

Why is he trying to raise the price of oil and why is that good for us?

Doesn’t matter. I won’t be filling my tank for six months at this rate.

It’s good for ‘The Line’ so it must be good for us by definition.
