No, twitter isn’t real life, most people want a bill passed from what I can tell–on twitter people are mad about the bailouts for the screwups part again. Republicans are mad about the part where some people who aren’t a corporation are being helped.

This sounds like one of those situations where members of Congress might not see it before a vote.

A couple Chiefsplanet posters who live in small towns in the midwest just had a harrowing back and forth about how terrible things are right now. Cars stolen every day. Everyone living in fear of the people who will even commit violent felonies to get their fix.
One guy had a nurse that was pilfering drugs from his daughter at the hospital and almost killed her. Then the nurse went to his house when she knew he was at the hospital, stole money and his phone, and went on the run with some guy.
But it’s all democrats’ fault. Pain is a resource. I guess to be fair it’s as much democrats as republicans - since they’re both in bed with big pharma. At least Trump makes one group squirm and them briefly feel good. At some level I think they realize this is the best they can get.
I’m too lazy to figure it out myself. Has anyone seen an estimate of how much the additional $600/week in unemployment benefits is likely to amount to?

Hasn’t been snow on ground in a while. My friend’s in the hospital so I raked his yard and scooped up about a month’s worth of poop from their 3 dogs. I’m also trying to work on his wife’s Trump support. Pissed her off pretty bad today so I have to back off.

Yeah. That’s what set her off. She doesn’t believe he was golfing. I played the I don’t take responsibility video and she said it was out of context but at the same time all the h1n1 lies Trump spewed were true. So I’ve got a long way to get her to crack. She’s otherwise a very bright and empathetic person so it’s hard to understand why she supports this jackass.
I don’t believe her when she says she doesn’t believe easily verifiable facts fwiw.
Maybe a picture would help. Here’s Trump golfing on Sunday, March 8th. Seems to be the last day he golfed. On Monday he tweeted comparing the virus to the flu and telling people to “think about it”. By the end of the week all hell was breaking loose.

You’d think she’d at least pivot to - well things weren’t that bad then and he was obligated because reasons w/e.
