The focus of the administration is definitely on getting people back to work ASAP regardless of the state of the virus or the capacity of the healthcare system.
To me it is an extremely delicate balancing act that needs to be handled very carefully. Pretty sure they have just decided to focus on one side of it and see how it goes.
When I heard that today I was disappointed that nobody asked where these workers were getting their masks from. How many do they get and what kind are they? Surgical masks are pretty damn annoying if you have to wear them for more than a few minutes at a time.

I really do think that when the wave breaks on the United States, Trumpās approval numbers will start to go south. Itās possible I am an idiot for believing this, but during Trumpās tenure things have mostly gone fine, as far as the general public can observe. Smooth sailing. This is the first time theyāre going to be unambiguously fucked up. A lot of people are just purely results oriented on this stuff, they have this baby-brained belief that the President is a wizard who waves wands and makes things good or bad. They will be receptive to the statistics showing that the US bungled the response compared to other developed countries.
