TIL Pompeo is a real asshole who hates Ukraine with every fiber of his being. My God, what a bunch of clowns (very dangerous clowns).
I think Pompeo is a Koch stooge and he’s in government to represent the fossil fuel industry with a heavy inclination to murder people in its service.
pompeo’s reaction was really strange to me. i thought he was one of those guys who was smart enough to know he was scamming the country. in which case, just say exactly what he said in the interview and then walk out and pretend the interview went great.
he must be hardcore lying to himself and is really conflicted inside, which explains his angry outbursts lol fuck him

i love that they thought rex tillerson would be the ideal puppet for both russia and the oil industry but he actually tried to take his job seriously (at least for a republican) so they fired him lol

Moments later, when Amons pointed out that he and Giuliani were in Warsaw at the same time, and asked whether they met, Pompeo said, “I don’t talk about who I meet with.”
“I went to Warsaw for a particular purpose,” he continued. “It was an important mission. We brought together people all across the world to take down the world’s largest state sponsor of terror, the Islamic Republic of Iran. That’s what I worked on on that mission.”
" My focus was singularly on the work that we have done, effective work, to recover from what the Obama administration has done, which is to underwrite the world’s largest state sponsor of terror. We’ve stopped that, and we’re making real progress."
“It sounds like you’re not going to say,” Amons said.
Pompeo repeated the same line: “When I was in Warsaw, we were working diligently to accomplish the mission to take down the terror regime that’s inside the Islamic Republic of Iran. That’s what I worked on. It was the only thing that I engaged in while I was there.”
